Domino puzzle maker for any subject
Turn one set of questions and answers into a domino chain that your students can cut out and assemble on paper, or solve on screen, all from the same content.
What a domino puzzle is
A domino puzzle is a chain of cards, where each card holds an answer on one half and a new question on the other, so that the answer to every question sits on the card that follows it. Students build the chain by matching each answer to the question it belongs with, which means the activity checks itself, as the only arrangement that closes the chain is the correct one. It is one of the most familiar classroom formats, and it works for revision, starters, and small-group practice across every subject.
Print and digital, from the same content
Most online activity tools give you a digital game or a printable worksheet, but rarely both from the same material. I built Tarsia.ai around the opposite idea, which is that you should enter your questions and answers once and then decide how to use them. Every domino puzzle you create here comes with a printable PDF of cut-out cards as well as an interactive version you can share with a link, so you can hand out paper in one lesson and project the same puzzle in the next without rebuilding anything.
Printable cut-out cards
A clean PDF of domino cards ready to print, cut, and arrange, with an answer key for marking.
Interactive on any device
A shareable solver students open in a browser, with drag-and-drop and a keyboard alternative, and no login required.
Built for every subject
Because a domino puzzle is built from plain questions and answers, it adapts to whatever you teach. Maths teachers use it for times tables, equivalent fractions, and solving equations, while language teachers use it for vocabulary and translation, and science teachers use it for terms and definitions. The same format also works as loop cards, sometimes called follow-me cards, where the class reads around the room until the chain returns to where it started.
How it works
- Enter your questions and answers, or let the AI draft a set for you from a topic, which gives you a starting point you can edit.
- Choose the Domino Chain format and pick how many cards you want, and the chain is built and checked for you.
- Download the printable PDF for paper copies, or share the interactive link so students can solve it on screen.
